“INTERNATIONAL DAY AGAINST DRUG ABUSE AND ILLICIT TRAFFICKING” Changes Society organised “International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking” at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Haflong on 8 July ,Friday. The programme was organised with the motive to induce awareness among the school students the bad effect of using cigarettes and chewing tobacco.

Dr Dhananjay Parshuram Ghanawat , SP of Police Dima Hasao graced the programme as the Chief Guest and Major Varun Rathi, Assam Rifles attended the programme as the guest of honour. Other guest present in the programme were Mr. Bishal Chanda, District G. Secretary Changes Society, Mr.Ashok Paul, President of Changes Society Mahur Branch. Mr.Ranjit Dey ,District Branch,Co Ordinator, who Hosted the Programme,Members of Changes Society Prakash,Sorojit,Sonu Albeek,,etc along with the Staff of JNV.were Present.

In the programme school students amused the chief guest and guests present there with beautiful songs, dance, drama etc. Apart from dance and singing, A Wonder ful debate competition on Topic :- Should Tabacco be Banned in our Society? was held.
